At its foundation, Modern Art Asia was envisaged as a forum for early career researchers to exchange and test ideas. In order to realise this vision, we have for some time considered the feasibility of hosting a conference, but our extremely international readership, and our desire to be as inclusive as possible, has presented logistical obstacles.
